Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is a worthy investment if you’re looking to add subtle heating methods to your home while increasing the overall aesthetic appeal with a touch of elegance and luxuriousness. There is an undeniable pleasure to be had in clambering out of bed on a cold winter morning and setting your feet down on warm tiles or carpets. Underfloor heating isn’t merely decadent, though. There are distinct advantages to having this installed.

  • Safety: There aren’t any hot surfaces for little fingers or paws to touch because you will have eliminated the need for conventional heaters.

  • More hygienic: Due to the fact that you won’t have dust and other allergens blowing around in the circulating air caused by particular types of heaters, you drastically reduce the amount of particulate matter in the air you breathe. Underfloor heating also doesn’t dry the air.

  • All-round comfort: Because the heating is – by necessity – so evenly distributed, you won’t have cold patches in your home such as you would be likely to encounter with conventional heating methods.

  • Aesthetically pleasing: Contrary to what some people may believe, you aren’t restricted to a particular type of flooring when installing underfloor heating. You can keep your home’s existing look and feel without compromising on design freedom!

  • Savings: The initial cost you spend on underfloor heating is recuperated over time in terms of savings on traditional heating

FREQUENTLY ASKED

QUESTIONS

Is it true that underfloor heating is expensive?

While the initial price tag may be considered hefty, the amount of money you save on electricity costs associated with more traditional heating adds up in the long run (not to mention the money saved on gas heating).

What’s the difference between underfloor heating and traditional heating, really?

Convection (forced air heating) is used by heaters which warm up the air in a room (rather than providing real heat for the people occupying it). With convection air heating, air circulation is created which causes hot air to rise and cold air to sink. With cold feet comes an increase of heat. Underfloor heating, on the other hand, heats the room in a different way. It makes use of a form of heat known as “radiant heat”, which means that it doesn’t just raise the temperature of the air but actually heats the solid objects in the room. That means that you don’t need to turn the thermostat up as high to reach similar levels of comfort.
